It so happened that in our family there are participants in the Great Patriotic War. We talk about them very often. Grandma loves to talk about the terrible events that her mother told. And we, the younger generation, listen with pleasure. One day, over a cup of tea, we began to ask grandma to tell another story about the war. The grandmother finished her story: “Today in the world they are trying to hide or distort the history of those distant years.” Suddenly dad ran into the room and began to say indignantly: “Exactly right. Even Vladimir Putin in an article for the American magazine "Second World War" (World War II) recommended reading “honest books” that tell about the Second World War without falsehood. And the prime minister writes: “Russia is rightfully proud of a whole galaxy of outstanding writers and poets who were at the front, looked death in the face. And I continued: “Today children don’t like to read books. They watch more cartoons and scary action films.
