"Drontal" for cats: instructions for use of the drug

This problem can be solved by dissolving the tablet in a small amount of clean water and giving the suspension orally to the pet using a syringe (without a needle). Quite often, the drug "Drontal" is used in relation to cats not as a treatment, but for the purpose of preventive deworming. The opinion that cats that live in an apartment and do not go outside at all cannot be infected with worms is extremely erroneous.
The product is quite easily tolerated by domestic cats. A contraindication may only be individual intolerance to any component included in the drug.
However, it is forbidden to give Drontal to a cat during its first half. A kitten can be given the product only 3 weeks after its birth.
Drontal deworming tablets for cats very rarely cause side effects. If there is an individual intolerance to the active elements, vomiting, diarrhea and excessive salivation may occur. This condition is usually short-term and does not require additional treatment.
